GermanyWEA Young Economists Network
Seit ca. einem Monat existiert das WEA Young Economist Network (YEN) auf Facebook und zählt bisher 494 Mitglieder. YEN soll dem heterodoxen Wissenschaftsnachwuchs helfen, sich zu organisieren und sich gegenseitig bei der wissenschaftlichen Karriere zu unterstützen.
Natürlich können sich heterodoxe “Nachwuchswissenschaftler(innen)” auch außerhalb der Facebook-Gruppe organisieren. Sofern Interesse besteht, kann auf der Seite des WEA Chapters Germany eine entsprechende Sektion eingerichtet und/ oder eine Projektgruppe organisiert werden. Dafür einfach eine Email hier über die Kontaktseite (Betreffe: YEN) schreiben.
Wer ein allgemeines WEA-Mitglied werden möchte, kann sich direkt bei der WEA anmelden. Die Mitgliedschaft ist natürlich kostenlos.

“Today the WEA Young Economists Network (YEN) is one month old. This “closed” Facebook group already has 494 members. Amazing, but only the beginning. YEN wants to enable grassroots organizing by young economists who dream of reforming our discipline and of finding rewarding careers within it. This requires worldwide sharing of information, strategies, networks, optimism and moral support. The larger the network becomes, the stronger it will be. You don’t have to be young to join it, only willing to support the self-led initiatives of WEA young economists.
